At Galley Common Infant School, we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe that all children deserve access to high-quality teaching, enriching experiences and the support they need to achieve their full potential.
The Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to schools to help raise the attainment and wellbeing of disadvantaged pupils. This funding enables us to provide targeted support, enhance learning opportunities and remove barriers that may affect a child's educational experience.
Your child may be eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals (FSM) if your family receives certain qualifying benefits. In Warwickshire, from September 2026, there are two categories of eligibility:
While all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive Universal Infant Free School Meals, families who meet the benefits-related eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply as this may generate additional funding for the school and access to further support programmes.
Children eligible under the Targeted Free School Meals criteria may help the school secure Pupil Premium funding, which can be used to provide additional educational support, resources and enrichment opportunities. Eligibility may also provide access to Warwickshire's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme.
Applications should be made directly through Warwickshire County Council's online Free School Meals service. The process is quick, confidential and easy to complete.
