Our School Governing Body
At Galley Common Infant School, our Governors play a vital role in supporting and challenging the school to ensure that every child receives the best possible education and opportunities to succeed.
Working in partnership with the Headteacher and school leaders, the Governing Board helps to shape the strategic direction of the school, monitor its performance and ensure that resources are used effectively. Governors are committed to promoting high standards of achievement, wellbeing and safeguarding for all children.
Our Governors bring a wide range of skills, experiences and perspectives from both education and the wider community. They volunteer their time to support the school and share a common goal: helping every child to thrive in a safe, nurturing and inspiring learning environment.
The Governing Board is responsible for holding school leaders to account, overseeing financial management and ensuring that the school's values remain at the heart of everything we do. Through regular visits, meetings and engagement with the school community, Governors contribute to the continued development and success of Galley Common Infant School.
