  • Safeguarding

At Galley Common Infant School, the safety, wellbeing and happiness of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, caring and nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and able to learn with confidence.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we work closely with pupils, families, staff, governors and external agencies to promote children's welfare and protect them from harm. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children are listened to, supported and given the help they need to thrive.

Our staff receive regular safeguarding training and are vigilant in recognising and responding to any concerns. We have clear policies and procedures in place to ensure that concerns are acted upon promptly and appropriately, helping to keep children safe both in school and beyond.

We also believe that safeguarding is about more than protecting children from harm. It includes promoting positive mental health, supporting emotional wellbeing, encouraging safe behaviours and helping children learn how to keep themselves safe, including when using technology and the internet.

On this page, you will find key safeguarding information, policies, guidance for parents and details of our safeguarding team. If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact the school immediately- our door is always open.

Together, we can ensure that every child feels safe, supported and able to flourish. 🛡️🌟
