PE for Reception is on a Monday and a Thursday in Class 1 and a Monday and a Wednesday in Class 2. Children should come to school on these days in their PE kit and earrings must be removed prior to coming to school, any problems then please speak to the Class Teacher.

 

Autumn Term

The children have settled into Reception brilliantly! 

They have loved playing and exploring in all areas of the Reception provision, they have been making new friends and learning lots! 

 

Our trip to Hartshill Hayes - October 2023

We took a stroll through 'The deep, dark woods!' 

We were very excited to go on our first school trip to the woods! We were looking for signs of Autumn, exploring the different nature in the woods, den building and also searching for The Gruffalo! 

 

Diwali Celebration! - November 2023

The children took part in a range of learning opportunities to support their learning around the celebration of Diwali. They created salt dough Diya lamps, tasted Indian food, and learnt a Diwali dance. 

 

Polesworth Abbey Trip - December 2023

We visited Polesworth Abbey for the 'Baby Jesus Experience'. 

We visited the tax office to pay our taxes and write our name on the register. Then we searched for the star which led us to the stable, in the stable there was Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.

Chinese New Year 

We loved celebrating Chinese New Year.

We enjoyed tasting traditional Chinese Food and using Chinese props to dance with.
