A story writing competition was recently held and all the KS1 children could enter their own story.  We had so many entries and some excellent stories.  The winners were picked for their great imagination!  Well done boys!

The sponsored maths challenge raised a large amount for the school.  Class 1 raised the most money and won a game for their classroom, which they can take to their new class too.  A few individual children raised large amounts and they also won a prize.  Well done to everyone who entered.

During the summer term every child was given a sunflower seed to plant.  Today in our final assembly Mrs Gordon  announced the winner of the tallest sunflower - a massive 205 cm.

Naming the New Taylor Wimpey Housing Estate

Naming the New Taylor Wimpey Housing Estate 1

Taylor Wimpey are building a new housing estate opposite our school and held a competition for all the children of Galley Common School to think of a suitable name for it.  One of the reception children came up with the brilliant name of 'Ribbonfields' and won a voucher to spend.
