SEND

Galley Common Infant School believes in positive interventions, removing barriers to learning and raising levels of achievement for all pupils including those with SEND. Our school prides itself on being an inclusive environment for all. All  of our pupils are valued equally, regardless of their abilities, attainment, interests and behaviour. Each child is entitled to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum which offers opportunity for progression and achievement. We will work in partnership with other agencies in order to provide a positive educational experience for all our pupils.

As a school we understand that some pupils may experience differences in learning and attainment at certain stages in their school life and the best way of helping them is for everyone involved to work together.

We want to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. Our SEND information report is designed to answer the most commonly asked questions from parents and carers.  In addition, our policy explains more about pupils with special educational needs or disabilities at Galley Common Infant School.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo) is Miss E Woodcock.
