Our harvest week started by Class 6 sharing a harvest related assembly with our special visitors.
Reception children made some delicious biscuits, the Year 1 children made lovely buttery scones and the Y2 children made sandwiches. Our guests all went home very full!
The children had also brought in harvest gifts last week, in return for a non uniform day, and these were shared between the visitors and the local food bank in Nuneaton.
During the assembly the colouring competition winners were also chosen - the teachers were looking for neat colouring, staying in the lines and the correct colours. Well done to our three winners who each won a set of colouring pens and a colouring book.
Finally a raffle was drawn with some lovely harvest prizes.
Thank you to everyone that came and, especially to Class 6, who made it a very special assembly.
On Friday the whole school visited St Peter's Church for the Harvest Assembly. The church was packed with children, parents and grandparents. The children sang some of their favourite harvest songs and the Y2 children spoke about the meaning of harvest.
